Am I just lucky with groups?
I tend to see alot of posts wherein the subject goes like this..."We were fighting, and he called me a n00b." Now, yes, I KNOW this happens, and boil alive the ones who call people n00b, thereby showing just how n00bish they are themselves, but am I the only one in GW who has never had rude comments spoken in the groups I use? Surely, we have had people in group who suck, or are just plain n00bs, but noone has ever sunk to telling them that! Yes, I have had people drop out of groups, in fact, doing the bonus at Nolani Academy, it got down to myself and the group warrior, so we quit, picked up the fighter henchie and Alesia, and cleared it out easier than with the PCs.
Most of the time in group, if people die, they ask nicely for rez, are patient, and thank the monk or me. I've had one guy get a little short, but this was during an intense battle, and he was the warrior. I was too busy keeping the elementalist alive, as he was holding back the army pretty well by himself. So I told the warrior that, and he was very cool about it.
I tend to find good groups though; the second time I ever grouped with someone in game, a 4 person group to do the last quest of Pre-Searing, I actually have all of those people in my friend list. A few other quests have added to my friends list. HOWEVER, my Ignore list is completely empty. If the group looks like a bunch of tools from chatting with them before going to mission, I kindly excuse myself and leave group.
Guess I just have good luck with groups, or maybe have a third sense about people. MAYBE it's because I play during the day when the kids are all in school. Now that summer's here, I guess we'll see. Just wanted to post that, no, humanity is not gone from GW. It seems to me that it is a very small minority of n00blets.
So thanks to anyone who makes it worth my time to group up. It's alot more fun with real people, who make real decisions, and real mistakes, but sometimes come through with real heroics.

I agree. I never noticed everything of all this "whoa, bad community, all players are jerks" thing, I usually end up in a good group. Sometimes there's one jerk in the group, who usually still has the decency to play on instead of leaving. Where's the problem?

I get it every now and then, and iI just leave when it starts. I don't care, I'm not subjecting myself to that idiocy. I've had it twice in a row once, and I just turned the game off and played Sims.

Almost never have I been in a really bad group, sure i've had people suddenly drop out, connection problems, but i've never had anyone yelling noob or aggroing everything, and then yelling at the healer, usually me, that they are stupid and/or suck. So I guess it just seems like there are more bad groups out there than there actually are.

I have also never experienced such comments. Allthough I don't think that thanking for as rez is needed. I never thank if I'm rez and I don't expect it from others that I rez'ed. Don't know what it's about - the team needs everyone alive, so it's logical that i rez everyone I can rez...
I sometimes play a monk and noone ever insulted me for bad healing or so. Allthough often noone protects me when I'm yelling for help

I would have been one of you, but I've just had an annoying experience with a particularly not-a-team-player player, and loved personal attacks, to boot. I left the mission. For the most part, I find that most players are polite. There are one or two bad seeds that you would encounter, just like life, I suppose.

I've managed to find good PUGS in Guild Wars, or better PUGS than I've found in other games. I think the worst thing thats happened to me was I got kicked from a party because I wasn't a Fire-specific Elementalist(which made no sense since this was not PvP)
